A simple yet strong picture. With a limited color pallet, the eye is drawn straight to Mheetu's face, which hold the only vivid color. I like that. It grabs your attention. That's what you first see, and what you see is the sadness and desperation. You express these emotions quite well with his clawing at the wall and teary face staring back. When you begin to question what it is that makes him so sad, they then sees the whole picture. And that's when it hits you. The shadow creates such a dramatic impact that even if you didn't know what the title of the work was, you could tell what was about to happen and how inevitable it is. In a single picture, without any words, a story is told and emotion is evoked in the viewer. Many things come together to make this a great work. The limited colors and lighting are this biggest technical factors that contribute to this piece as they don't clutter the work and give it more impact. Perhaps the only criticism I have is that perhaps the lines could be cleaner, but that's nitpicky. It doesn't seriously hurt the work at all. Issues from earlier works, such as lighting, are not present in this piece at all, in my opinion, which is an example of significant artistic improvement from you. In the end, all I can say is that it's a great picture.
